Banca Transilvania Grows Customer Base by 15%, Boosts Transactions by 20%, Cuts End-of-Day Close Time 50%, Accelerates New Banking Services 200%

Banca Transilvania increased customers by 15% and transaction volumes by 20% six months after migrating banking operations to Oracle FLEXCUBE Universal Banking, Oracle Exadata Database Machine, and Oracle Exalogic. The bank went live with less than one hour of downtime while taking a big-bang approach. With Oracle Exadata, the bank completes 95% of card transactions in less than one second and has become one of Romania’s leading provider of credit and debit cards. It also reduced daily close time from eight hours to four hours and develops new customer services 3x faster.
